Team Cherry's hugely anticipated sequel will be on display among thirty other games from the last fifty years.
HOLLOW KNIGHT: SILKSONG will be one of the games playable at ACMI as part of the Game Worlds exhibition which opens on the 18th September 2025.
The highly anticipated title, which was developed in South Australia by Team Cherry, will be displayed alongside artwork and design materials outlining the creative vision for the game.
ACMI Co-curators Bethan Johnson and Jini Maxwell said they were grateful Team Cherry trusted their team to showcase their work.
"We are thrilled to celebrate the design of this South Australian-made game as a centrepiece of Game Worlds in September."
"From the hundreds of sprites that animate Hornet’s different movements and attacks, to the logic behind the game’s most challenging boss fights – and of course, having the game playable in-gallery – our Silksong displays delve deeply into the details of the game's artistic direction and design."
Game Worlds will showcase design materials from World of Warcraft, Neopets, The Sims and other iconic games from the last 50 years with thirty total games on display, with twenty titles including Silksong playable by the public.
The exhibition opens on the 18th of September 2025 and runs until the 8th of February 2026 and presale tickets go on sale 3rd July 2025 with general admission available from the 17th of July, you can join the waitlist here.
New screenshots for the game have also been released below. The game will release in 2025.
